I just want to point ou that Spoony is not exactly "dead weight" on Patreon - he does generate around $30/month for Patreon. Individually, it doesn't mean much, but they surely as hell won't be kicking a thousand of those leechs, if that means having $30k less every month. What expenses would those leeches generate for Patreon that it would justify getting rid of those accounts? If anything, they'd want MORE of those.

With regards to Maddox's little bitchfit lawsuit, the fallout to Patreon of a possible win, however unlikely, would be rather minimal. Maddox is suing Patreon for not suspending Masterson's account over what Maddox alleges is a concerted effort by Masterson and his fans to harass him online, which he contends has led to financial and emotional hardship. First off, this isn't that much different than that Digital Foundry vs Jim Sterling lawsuit, where DF accused Sterling of the same thing, and that case ended up getting dismissed.

Secondly, even if on the off chance that Maddox does win, Patreon would go the corporate punkass route and reach for a settlement way before the 20 million dollar thing became an issue. I could see Patreon banning Masterson's account(which is what Maddox's main goal is), tightening up their harassment policies, and ban basically no one else. I don't see why Corky the Retard the 3rd thinks a Maddox win = the banning of thousands of Patreon accounts. This lawsuit is about online harassment, not losers like Spoony who are scamming their patrons, so as long as these Patreon users aren't actively harassing anyone they wouldn't get banned. Corky seems to be going off the deep end here.
