Elio seems to be flopping.

Pixar spent too much time in the 2010's making sequels, and the branding they had in the 2000's got diluted and meaningless. Now they're racking up flops, unless its Inside Out 2 from last year; so I guess I get why Iger's solution is to double down on even more sequels.

Ofc sometimes its shit like Lightyear, which was Dead on Arrival.

Frozen is not Pixar though I can't blame for confusing Disney Animation with Pixar. What's the difference at this point? Back in the 2000s Pixar was the number one western Animation studio with Dreamworks being hit and miss with stuff like Shrek and Shark Tale while Disney Animation was making crap like Chicken Little and The Wild. Now every studio is basically the same in terms of quality. No one stands out except for Illumination with people just recognizing it for the Minions.

Illumination has perfected its production. They can make a movie look pleasing with the same shit story and inoffensive character cheap enough to make money even as a failure.
