Hell, you could do a Green Arrow movie; exploit the similarities, and use the name recognition the CW show created for box office.

I think you underestimate the ability of normies to take in two different versions of a character without confusion. The whole "multiverse" thing that superhero media has been doing for awhile now proves that people get it. That Spider-Man movie that teamed-up all of the recent Spider-Man actors was a huge hit. Maybe my 75-year-old father wouldn't understand it, but he doesn't see these movies anyway. I think that the mass general audience though, the people who are potentially interested in Superman and Batman movies, understand.

10bux it's gonna involve the Court of Owls. They haven't been adapted so far outside of the forgettable Gotham Knights game, it'd actually make more sense for them to show up early in Batman's career, and they make for fitting bad guys in Current Year (Gotham's old money aka rich white assholes controlling the city from the shadows by using a combination of wealth and an assembly line of quasi-immortal assassins.)

EDIT: Apparently they also showed up in that Gotham series, but who cares about that one?

I don't give a fuck if people understand the multiverse or not, it's still stupid and I hate it.

The only exception is when it's the same actor and you are using it to explore different facets of the character, like when Stargate did alternate realities.

But this whole "let's bring different movie continuities together" shit I will never ever condone.
