2 was fun in that they added more to the stealth mechanics, you could sneak in tall grass like Solid Snake and merc people, plus the gore being upper was neat, but like Ebin said it’s a movie. A bad one too, Ellie doesn’t even get her revenge in the end, just loses two fingers.

And then for the live action series they didn't even cast a woman 24 inch pythons! Absolute travesty. 0/10.

Not even the first was a good game. Generic 3rd person, cover-based shooter with light stealth mechanics. People just found that the setting elevated it somewhat and enjoyed the reddit-tier story.

2 having a garbage story seemingly made to piss off the fans was a mask off moment.
You'd have to have been a normalnigger that thought The Walking Dead was a good show to like the first game. That's why I said it's basically the same audience for the TLOU show, thus they would also viscerally hate the story in show format.
