I actually wanted to get that Labyrinth of the Demon King game. But then it came out and I decided not to bother buying a game. Or even pirating it.
It's no masterpiece, but it does its job; maybe it's a bit too easy once you figure out the optimal strategy to take down every type of monster.
It has the puzzles and atmosphere of Silent Hill, and the exploration, armors, weapons and secrets of a dungeon crawler.
A way better experience than Nightreign.

Night Reign looks like complete fucking garbage. An asset flip incorporating a decade of assets
Mostly Elden Kang's.
I believe only the final bosses of each map (and i believe there are 5-6 maps in total) are from Dork Souls.
Maybe i'm wrong and the maps after the first one are from different games, but i doubt it.

To be fair,
roguelikes should not have meta-progression. Ever.
I remembered that only after writing my previous comment, and i didn't even bother to edit it; the absence of meta-progression is the only thing this shit has in common with roguelikes.
A multiplayer session of Mario Kart is a roguelike as much as this thing is a roguelike.

Also, the idea of only 6 builds in a fromsoft game is a sin worthy of public execution.
Lol, builds?
Diablo 3 has some semblance of builds.
Gunfire Reborn has some semblance of builds.
This thing has 6 Overwatch heroes who use soulslike combat instead of guns.
The differences between them are:
-Their looks, there's no fucking armor in the gayme.
-Their starting weapons and shields.
-The length of their red, blue and green bars; if and when you level up during a session, the growth of your character is set in stone. There is no time to allocate stats manually.
-Their (2) gay special moves on cooldown.
Every noob (me included) picks either the witch or the archer, bows and crossbows have infinite arrows.

Meta-progression is a cancer on the indie gaming industry.
In general i agree, in this particular case a meta-progression system is the only thing that would push players to keep playing in the long run.
This thing is not going to last 3 months.
