It makes what little passes for platforming in Metroid even more forgiving.

And I dunno if they introduced this ability because they thought some jumps would be "too hard" for modern gamers, or if they deliberately added some dumb gatekeeping (Oh no, this platform is a few pixels too high!)

The entire new section after you kill Mother Brain, in which Samus is captured by the Space Pirates(TM) and you have to recover her armor in stealth mode and then kill them all, is well executed and a good addition to an otherwise short game that relied on no map to appear longer.

Found this early ps1 dark souls half price. I suspect the avgn maybe working on a review. The chinese appear to be quietly buying up all the used north american copies. Not a bad game in and of itself. You can see the Twin-Towers featured prominently in the cover art and disc itself.
