Nevertheless, I do think we will see a blue backlash come midterms IF Trump follows through on gutting social programs and implementing tariffs. The simple fact remains those two moves are incredibly unpopular. Far more so than the dumb shit Biden did during his term.
Democrats will win in spite of themselves and in spite of offering nothing to voters except "we promise to fix the stuff Trump is fucking up right now."

Elon wants the Social Security Administration to eliminate phone support.
A service primarily for old people doesn't need to offer phone support. True government waste.

Trump has withdrawn his CDC nomination, because the guy in question was questioning the measles vaccine.
Not uncommon for Presidents to withdraw nominees (Demento withdrew his OMB nominee, and then his second Secy of Labor nominee tanked), but it does show shit like questioning the Measles and Polio vaccines is getting backlash.
Probably a similar situation to Fatt Gaytz, where someone told Trump getting the votes wasn’t realistic, so he threw this guy in the wood chipper.
