Meh. AD&D has some of the worst convoluted rules I've ever seen printed to a book. 18/00 Strenght scores? 5/2 attacks per round? Paladins randonly requiring 17 Charisma and not doing anything with it? Even GURPS's rules about digging holes aren't that convoluted.

CHA is for ensuring that your crusader has plenty of henchmen for jolly Deus Vulting.
And if you think that's bad, just read up on how to become a Bard in AD&D 1st edition.
Or just the human dual-classing in general. You like have to forget what you've learned in your previous class or new XP doesn't count, and once your new class has reached a higher level than your old one you are finally allowed to use all of your old shit again.

Oh, and did any of the video games ever implement the level mechanics for Monks and Druids? 'Cause for some ungodly reasons the slots for the highest levels are limited in any campaign setting, so you have to essentially play Highlander and beat someone of the next level in a duel

Oh yeah, I remember those rules. Dual classing was such nonsense. I think its much easier to fix 3rd Edition's multiclass hopping (just require a minimum level on each class before you can jump off to anoither) than it is to deal with AD&D's class nonsense.

I've read up on the dualclassing in the Goldbox games. It's convoluted bullshit, so I decided against it.
Wizardry isn't much better with the Lord class and such. It's for min-max freaks.

Still, none of that is as bad as Oblivion leveling.
