Re: Weebshit Thread
I found out that there was a Japanese-German co-production anime.
Never heard of it before today.
If wiki is to be believed, this inspired Eiichiro Oda to make One Piece.

the amazing adventures of the loli Viking princess
This definitely needs a slice-of-life remake.

She's got nothing on the amazing adventures of the loli daughter of Apollo, and her songs about a magic powder that makes you happy if you inhale it:Le Redditeur wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 2:24 amthe amazing adventures of the loli Viking princess

Dude, it was the 70s. What wasn't a Japanese-German co-production back then?Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 12:58 amI found out that there was a Japanese-German co-production anime.
(That last one was actually from 1983, but fuck it.)
Well, it got some CGI remake in 2013. That one probabably had more slice-of-life in it because that's cheaper to do in 3D.
The one with the bees also got a recent CGI remake, though the Viking one also has live-action movies attached to it.

Huh. Never heard of the Alice one either. I never understood why the Pinocchio one was called "Piccolino" in Japan.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 7:39 am(That last one was actually from 1983, but fuck it.)

Apparently the full title is Pinocchio yori Piccolino no Bōken.
But the opening song is called Boku wa Piccolino. I assume there may have been some slight confusion regarding the character's name.

What does that translate to? Pinocchio, the child made from wood?

"X no Bōken" means "[The] adventure(s) of X"
