Francis Ford Coppola kept tampering it with too many alternate cuts when the theatrical cut was just fine.
At least it's not the Godfather Part III. Not sure why he insisted on polishing that turd.

He moved one scene, cut off the ending and snipped random parts of the movie, some of which were pretty decent scenes actually. What a shitfest of a redux
