Re: Reddit Letter Media
The classic "It's just something for the fans" excuse.

Re: Reddit Letter Media
How did RLM make money in the first place? I mean, I get making shitty movies as a hobby. I am sure it is fun, they cast their friends, they build the props, but the difference to for example the CA people is that they have good equipment and the studio space, while the CAINs all filmed in their rooms when their parents were gone and had to worry about their cats eating the "set".
How did Mike get the money to buy a studio, cameras, lighting, sound equipment, etc?

Re: Reddit Letter Media
They already had a video recording and editing business well before the Plunkett reviews went big if I recall.
Re: Reddit Letter Media
I think it was because they used to film weddings for a living. The origin of RedLetterMedia comes from red letter days and the company used to be called Red Letter Weddings.

Re: Reddit Letter Media
And today they get enough cuck bux on Patreon to sustain their "business" of making garbage bideos on Youtube.

Re: Reddit Letter Media
Plus the switch to BOTW and HITB that only use trailers or old movies nobody holds the rights to. Allowed them to monetize all their shit.

Re: Reddit Letter Media
They once uploaded a "fake" re:View episode on Transformers which only consisted of 99% black screen, including ad breaks. After it got flagged down for being deceptive they got all butthurt about it on twitter because it was just supposed to be an intentional shitty joke nobody should take seriously.
Re: Reddit Letter Media
Should have had their account terminated for that shit.
They need to review Hackers again, but with Mike and that cackling fat guy. AIDSMoby and that kid from Home Alone were okay, but they didn't go indepth enough.

Re: Reddit Letter Media
It wasn't even once, it was three times. They did it for Re:view, Half in the Bag, and Plinkett. They pushed their luck the first time so I can't blame people for getting sick of it and flagging the videos. The more I think about it, they seem surprising similar to the CA INs don't they?Guest wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 1:55 amThey once uploaded a "fake" re:View episode on Transformers which only consisted of 99% black screen, including ad breaks. Re: Reddit Letter Media
Yeah, they are like TGWTG if everyone was as industrious as Doge. That's really the only meaningful difference.
Edit: Bad phrasing. I meant that TGWTG could've been like RLM if the fuckheads would've been as business savvy as Doge.
