tbh, given the way CA was haemorrhaging at the time, it makes sense from a business/reputational perspective. You don't want to be hooked to a sinking ship. Same with Angry Joe. They just quietly detached themselves in case the Walkers got the full-on MeToo treatment. I doubt either side considered it a betrayal.
