The only episode of his that I saw was the Pokémon comics review, and it appeared to be the conclusion of some Linkara story arc, in which he kills the big bad (it's Missingno, I think) by talking to it.

English is apparently very hard to learn for people who don't natively speak it. Largely because of the variants and because English doesn't have as many concrete rules as German or the Romance languages.
lolwut? English is incredibly easy and in practice is much, much easier than German or French. I feel like English has fuckall rules. You can string together pretty much all words you want and it forms a sentence that is legit. Plus, English has super short, mostly one or two syllable words.
Hard to pronounce for some? Maybe. Hard as a language? Not at all.
German is loads harder because it takes a lot to speak it even remotely well. So many things in German are the way they are "just because".
Just the demonstrative pronoun is enough to break people. English has "the" and that's it. Meanwhile, there is no rule as to what what is in German. Why is the car neutral, the bottle female and the ball male? No reason. Just because it would sound stupid if it was different and that feel for what sounds wrong or stupid can only come from experience. There is nothing that helps you. It doesn't even stop there. It's "der Raum" (the room), but if you "enter the room" it's "den Raum betreten" and shit like that goes on and on. That's just pronouns.

Getting basic grammar right in German takes a long time. In English it's rather simple. And it's not that speaking today's German helps you any in learning English. The Germanic that English takes it's root from is from the very old Mitteldeutsch.
Don't take the word of spics that English is hard. All spic speaking people have a harder time learning another language than even the nips. They are retards when it comes to languages.

This is starting to read like a "my language is harder than your language!" nerdy dick measuring contest.

Doesn't your language being harder just mean that your ancestors were too dumb to design their language efficiently?

That's not too far from the truth. It's been around for a long time and has changed a lot over the years. One never personally finds the language one grows up with hard so why give a fuck if foreigners find it hard? It wasn't important for trade since the trade language at the harbors controlled by the guild was Plattdeutsch and the politics were made by kinds n shit that didn't care for the language of the plebs anyway.
It's less them being too dumb and more them just not bothering. When most people don't write or read, what does it matter?

I did say 'apparently'. It's what my language teachers used to tell me anyway

I just know that the Japanese spend many years studying English and then they can't speak it. All that Engrish is proof of that.

English definitely has fewer hard and fast rules. You can pretty much say whatever and Americans, who are used to listening to broken english spoken by retards, will figure out what it was you meant to say.

I heard that apparently English is caused because people in charge think it's good enough and more importantly teaching it wrong is cheaper
-On the internet, everyone end up being Spoony or Tim Buckley
-All fanbases are shit
-Most people had, have and will have shit tastes

Part of it seems to be the lack of native speakers in the classroom. More precisely, that the Japanese English teachers don't want to be put out of a job, so they usually only take in gaijin as "teaching assistants". They can pay these assistants pennies these days because there are so many weebs that want these jobs.
There are also cultural differences that teh gaijin will never understand. I almost took a job at an agency there and they told me "act like a stereotype, it's just easier" and "people will tell you that you're doing a good job to your face, but will later report to us everything you're doing wrong." That sounded very stressful.
