The skates are good because they give you this ice magic shit that's quite strong.

And she turns into a waifumon. <3VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 11:05 amI do not know when the classic archetype of the HikkiNEET Hacker Waifu got started, but I certainly know when it got perfected.
(This is shortly before she starts whacking you with her keyboard.)
You’re right about Bayonetta, getting the moon to parry really helps balance the difficulty. Finding the right combo of weapons that works for you is also critical, and buying the health and magic upgrades ASAP. There are places to farm sonic rings halos that help a lot.
I’m playing Judgment, really enjoying the story and whole being a detective in a Yakuza game.

I finished Bayo 1 and started playing 2.
Right away, I like 2 much better. Everything flows better into another, thanks to kicks not being as slow and launchers not requiring a pause.
Naturally, I've also gotten better but playing both back to back it's a noticeable difference. Not to mention the much clearer graphics and brighter colour palette.
Yup, the sword with the skates was a pretty neat combination. Didn't care for the claws, didn't have bazookas.
Doesn't matter, as it's likely going to be years before I touch 1 again. I was getting really tired of it.

It's pretty much the basic bitch combo to get through everything easily. I mostly remember playing bayo 1 in unlimited climax whatever mode, where the difficulty is max high but you have infinite super weapons all the time.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 3:53 am

2 has some awesome weapons. Love the sabers, and once you've unlocked the old katana later, you can really go to town on enemeis (2 has a thing where the feet weapons tend to be slightly better than their hand variants, so stuff like the katana or the old guns have a slight edge over the newer ones).
Didn't really like those clubs as a replacement for the claws (though the Wicked Weaves are quite cool, and they do some good interrupt before you get the hammer; just isn't nearly as rad as the other toys you get).
Didn't really use the bow much outside of boss fights where the boss tended to keep his distance.
The scythe is like a katana on steroids, much slower but the Wicked Weaves hit like everything on screen.
And of course the hammer lets you pummel the fuck out of everything. I got like Platinum on accident against a boss since I was just whacking and dodging.

Not gonna argue against that, but I find that it takes a bit too long to freeze enemies, so I never relied on it.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 1:39 amThe skates are good because they give you this ice magic shit that's quite strong.

I didn't really find the freezing to be that noticeable. It's more the added mobility and the faster kicks that made them.

I skipped the first one and went straight to Bayonigger 2.

B-b-but muh deep lore, man. Half of Bayo 2 is a prequel to 1, while the other half is a direct sequel.

I thought those games were just spank material? Why else would there be an option to play one-handed.
It's a trap!

Didn't seem all that lewd to me. Mostly just innuendo.
