A lot of her recent videos are just her reading a book for over an hour.
I watched one (I know I shouldn't give her views) for like 5 minutes and got a headache.

Book live readings with commentary are just a bad idea. She could have done some research and learn from others. But that would be too much effort. And she would have to leave all those sweet, sweet superchat bucks behind.

The few good book readings I found have the youtuber probably reading 2 or 3 hours for each hour of edited content. But who is going to pay her for all those wasted hours of preparation? Her normal content is hours of preparation and does not get her much income, so she is not going to waste much time on this cash grab. Karen's gotta get paid!

It's more complex than that. It was made by a free love hippy. So it absolutely wasn't or isn't right wing. But it also wasn't left wing or SJW either. That's plain stupid. It portrayed a world where the current, petty politics are meaningless.
But then it also reflected the politics of it's time. The Klingons were basically Russia, Romulans were the KGB. Conflict reflected the current world state but the race conflicts on earth were long since resolved and forgotten.
It also wanted to be an entertaining Sci-Fi show and the TV executives and writers didn't just let Roddenberry do whatever the fuck he wanted without control.
Lupa would call Roddenberry a serial rapist by today's standards so don't get too carried away here. A TV show in the 70s is never just one specific thing and the Lupa has a very poor grasp on it. Trying to apply current shit world views to it is a testament to that.
