Assholes are narcissists. It is a subtype of asshole and explains them. Noah literally checks off everything for vulnerable narcissist. It explains all his actions, including his endless need for sympathetic attention and manipulation of others.

A vulnerable narcissist is perfect, but the world is out to get them. Try as they might, they never get the attention they want. So, they manipulate the people around them to get it.

Spoony doesn't even meet the criteria you've listed. He doesn't threaten to self-harm. He only has a victim mentality in regards to women leaving him, in most things he has delusions of grandeur.

Well firstly, narcissists very often have delusions of grandeur and secondly, he doesn't have to meet all the criteria for it to be applicable
