@AngrySpoonySnob I'll admit I haven't read the whole exchange, but I can assure you that discussion is completely possible here, however, you need to start reading some material that will teach you that belittling the other side and showing that they're wasting your time isn't the best way to do so - keep in mind, that's not the same as sperging or banter.

I also told you that believing in evolution isn't really related to whether or not you believe a god could exist. It's only dumbass creationists who create that false dichotomy.

Your education level doesn't matter. Your education only matters in connection with how much time you have spent studying evolution and related fields like biology. One of the videos I linked you to was a guy who has spent a long time studying those things.

I can't give you a bar-room opinion on evolution because this isn't a fucking bar question. You're asking me to explain a field of science to you in such a way that you, someone who openly shits on atheists as "worse than muslims" and claim evolution is all lies, would believe and accept.

In a nutshell, however, my OPINION on the facts of evolution is that more complicated life forms evolve over long periods of time via interaction with their environment, combined with random mutations/adaptations. Adaptations are selected for or against based on fitness and this is how life forms "determine" (there is no conscious direction, only adaptation and selection) how best to propagate. Life exists to continue living and to replicate itself. That engine acts and is acted upon by the surroundings.

Because of the time scales involved, no human life span could possibly be long enough to observe a significant enough change between basic forms to qualify as "evolution" in the mind of a creationist, because creationists have a malformed understanding of what evolution is. Most creationists will admit to the existence and truth of evolutionary theory while still claiming it's not happening. They will argue that "micro" evolution is true, but "macro" evolution is not. This is a false split. Both are the same process. Micro changes over small periods of time give rise to macro changes in the long run.

I didn't give you my OPINION on this shit right away because a) I know you'll just dismiss it anyway and call me an idiot and b) I am not an expert (You can find millions of them with a fucking google search.)
