Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
I don't know that it's been officially addressed anywhere. Has it? I assume associating with Hadley became next to impossible once he started taking his hatred of CA into complete overdrive.

Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
To be fair it was great when the hosts were Josh, Brad and Jowski because the two would rip the piss out of the thin-skinned fucker and he had to take it because Brad got all the people listening. The episode on true stories is both hilarious and infuriating.
Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
The thing I remember most about Radiodrome is Hadley reposting the episode about Siskel and Ebert, in which he was extremely nasty toward both of them, right after Ebert died.

Tad-ah! almost the exact image you were picturing
-On the internet, everyone end up being Spoony or Tim Buckley
-All fanbases are shit
-Most people had, have and will have shit tastes

Hadley is almost supernaturally unlikeable.
What's most baffling about the guy though, is how unbelievably lacking in the tiniest sliver of self-awareness he is.
I mean, this is someone who wasted every second of his waking life in the consumption of the most lowest-common-denominator entertainment crap you can imagine; A guy whose entire worldview was fed to him by Hollywood. The type of person who thinks stupid, ham-fisted garbage, like George Romero movies and Star-Trek episodes are incredibly deep, nuanced, multi-layered "social commentary"...
This is the most intellectually 'basic-bitch' a person can possibly be, and still, he believes himself to be this amazing independent-thinking 'maverick', who broke out of the matrix; Justified in preaching to everyone about how the world does, or should, work.

Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
Of course he did, he can't be an adult and just say nothing when someone he doesn't like dies, he has to be edgy. He wants to be seen as cool and subversive dude, like a shock jock, instead of a sad middle aged man acting like a 15 year old.
Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
And he's awfully pretentious for someone who almost exclusively consumes low brow entertainment.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:03 pmHadley is almost supernaturally unlikeable.

I still listen to Radiodrome. He still has a war on netflix and bingewatching.
Also has a girlfriend who forces him to watch new movies, aka movies he does not like.

I stopped listening a few years ago, so I haven't heard him rant about netflix and binge watching, but ranting about that is so him.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:43 pmI still listen to Radiodrome. He still has a war on netflix and bingewatching.

Nothing wrong with consuming low brow entertainment, so long as you understand that's what you're doing.JohnnyCocksville wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:12 pmAnd he's awfully pretentious for someone who almost exclusively consumes low brow entertainment.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:03 pmHadley is almost supernaturally unlikeable.

The problem is when someone starts thinking they're part of some great intellectual elite, because they've watched "They Live", or some shit like that.
