Lack of animations has nothing to do with money. Take a gander at that there Pokemanz. They've got more money than they could spend on whores and blow and still don't bother to make better models or animations. Hell, they even reduce the number of possible Pokermains to handle. I wouldn't put it past them to still reuse animations from Pokeyman Stadium. But making those animations in the first place cost time and money, both of which you don't need if you just go for a static picture.

Pokeymanz is in the position of making mad cash without trying much and never having enough employes in neither GameFreak nor Creatures. Inc. It was the same shit for nearly TWO DECADES with Enix's Armour Studio aka the Dragon Quest studio. They just made mad cash by doing the ablute minimum work when it came to animations.
That is to say, multiple people's fault for the situation the franchise is in and despite what every retard sperger thinks, completely outside of their juristiction : Nintendo or better yet, GameFreak itself has to manage, hire and better yet, aquire new recruits to be able to do the job in particular along with having more time, more often than not. Money isn't a problem even if 75% of the franchises profits don't go to them(they only get directly paid for the vidya, Ninty and the toy makers get the big cuts for the animaymays, movies, toys, plushies etc) and worst case scenario, they ask Ninty to give them like 100 thousand yen more. Big fucking whoop when it comes to the economy of the series.

Time is a metric of work hours here, not linear time. Hire more people. Cost is completely irrelevant. Pokemass sells like crazy.
Sure, it's nice low-effort money but even for Pokkenants there comes a point where re-using fucking OG DS sprites just won't cut it anymore.
They already fucked their shit well with the Pokedex cut. The franchise won't go away any time soon but GayFreak could.

Game freak are just obscenely lazy tbh. That's all it comes down to. They already fucked up sword and shield by admitting that they're too incompetent to just port over the 3d models they've had kicking around since X and Y. The pokedex cut was probably done because they're lazy. A bunch of people who work in animating have already shown that the old 3d models still exist and can be easily ported to another game, intact. I mean, it's just wire frames and sheeit. Part of the reason the 3DS pokeymans games had such shit framerates were on account of the models having higher poly count than was needed for the portable system. Nintendo deliberately made those models with a console game in mind AND THEN they have the brass balls to tell us they can't import the models? Bullshit. They just don't want to.
Sword and Shield looks like the set up for a massive fan exodus from the franchise. I won't care if gamefreak goes away, since they haven't made a good pokeyman game since the original DS era. Every 3DS pokeymans game is worse than the last one and they're all worse than the ds games.

Tajiri is the guy who must be especially kicking himself in the nuts, considering how he's mostly autistic about Kaiju and some tokusatsu but apart from Pokeymanz, his games aren't that recognised, like Volt Tackle guy...the one that looks like Ledian. Shit, every time he tries to do a tokusatsu plot or even attempts to make Pokemon into kaiju, everyone shits on him because it's not as good as Gold and Silver or Black and White. It's basically the Kojimbo situation of wanting to do other games but the autismo brigade and the publisher basically cockblock them from doing anything again ever, so they're stuck 20 years in the same kind of shit. Basically, devs, publishers and their autismo paypigs are all at fault.
It's why they are developing Town and whay they are so excited about it, as shit as it will be.
