I had an idea about someone reviewing those awful TV movies they used to make back in the day. They were usually were exploitative and manipulative. It was usually about somebody getting raped or murdered, or their kid getting raped or murdered. Often times it was touted as "RIPPED FROM THE HEADLINES".
It's like, why would you want to watch misery porn like that? I think people secretly WANT to hear depraved stories about rape and sex. That's why SVU is so popular.

Murder She Wrote and Golden Girls were in syndication well up to the late 90s. There's also much worse television than Murder She Wrote. Doesn't hold a candle to Columbo or any of the Agatha Christie movies or the old Pink Panther films but it's better than most shit today. It's also better than Quincy and Matlock.
