Right on, Liar Revealed. The recent RLM stuff about movies has been a bit toothless. But I guess they can't assume something that isn't out yet is going to be shit, and all these movies are built around cliffhanger endings.
Unlike A New Hope btw.

It's this stupid sequel / cinematic universe craze. Don't worry if this movie was a bit shite and had lots of plot holes. The sequel will reveal everything!
And scenes ripped straight out of Hidden Fortress and probably other Kurosawa classics.cernex wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2017 12:23 amI thought it was a well established fact all Lucas really did was make a thinly-diguised Flash Gordon ripoff because he never wanted to make Star Wars to begin with: he wanted to make a Flash Gordon film but he couldn't get the rights.
I mean, that's it. All the other stuff in or around it is just stupid. As much as I like Star Stars myself, it's really just a Flash Gordon-type thing done with really big special effects and some -accidental- good acting.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
I quite like the sequel/cinematic universe concept in theory at least, as it should give the characters more depth and development, not to mention the grander storytelling, but so very few have done it well because of their impatience and also because there's only so many movies that you can make in a year. Time flies and actors move on.
Oh yeah, and because most of them are just doing it for the sake of it and filling up time without anything to say. Sound and fury signifying nothing.

So I've been mostly out of the loop on the CA crew since the fallout from TBF, so Brad's latest episode and its new strawman character are probably more jarring to me. I also lie awake at night wondering if Doge Walker somehow preserves the last of his hairline through his balding buddies. Things sure have changed.

I haven't been keeping up with Brad Jones lately. He's shoehorning strawmen into his reviews now? Glad I stopped watching his videos after he outed himself as a Hillary supporter.

Brad gave an interview and still holds Spoony in high regard apparently, among other things:

Well, I mean, they're friend irl from what I remember, before TWGTG was a thing even. Plus, before Spoony became... whatever the fuck he is now, he did in fact promote Brad's earlier videos in his page and some of his early Blip success was because of Spoony (and the fact Brad's content wasn't crap). I mean, Spoony's shit right now and there's no denying, but it makes sense in context.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 4:47 amBrad gave an interview and still holds Spoony in high regard apparently, among other things:

I think one of the last things they did together was talking about the rocky movies right?
Even back then spoony was an asshole who just ignored what brad said to get his own points out XD Brad must be thankful to spoony but I doubt he can stand being around him.
