Cromartie High School was good

Yeah, it's on my list of DVDs to buy once I get some money again. I remember it being pretty funny.

Cromartie High School is still funny. I have some of the mangas and I read them now and then. They hold up. The show is good too. They really worked hard to make the comic panel style of the manga (where joke punchlines were often hidden just on the other side of the page) play out the same way on the screen. It's one of those anime where the animation quality itself is much less important than the craft. Such things as framing and composition are very important for a gag series with a lot of visual jokes.

Even if Cromartie were the shittiest anime in the world, however, which it isn't, it would still be more interesting than marzgurl.
