Welp, for the first time in my thirty-two years, I'm intentionally growing a beard. I let my stubble grow for three weeks out of laziness and decided in front of the mirror that I was going to shave around my neck and a few rogue cheek hairs to shape a beard. Now, I had mutton chops as long as six inches when stretched out when I was a kid but never a full beard.

I haven't shaved for weeks (except for mustache because having hair in my mouth drives me crazy) and I look like a crazy homeless person.

I didn't shave it off. I just shortened it to not have hair in my mouth all the time like Sam Elliott.

Indians are able to grow beards. They just tear them out. Do that often enough and they won't grow back.

I've had a shaped and trimmed beard for a couple years now. Most of the time I do exactly like OP every morning. I don't have shitty genes so it can work. I usually just shave it all off after a couple weeks.
