Honestly, it's no different out here in the world. You'd be going to work, coming home, and dealing with shit anyway. And the risk of dying is the same in normal life as with military IMO.

So far it's been good I've been doing fuck all do cause I got here when almost everyone was either deployed or training to get ready for deployment.

Yeah from what I hear everyone is going either to Afghanistan or Iraq so I may be getting my combat patch sooner than later. I rather go to Iraq cause from what I hear there's a better chance of me being mounted then. I don't wanna fucking ruck everywhere that is fucking gay.

My one former roommate who was in the reserves was over in Iraq, he actually got into 1 gunfight and I guess what basically happened is they just unloaded there guns into the wall where the derka's were until no one came out anymore.

Yeah, waist high cover and cover in general is bullshit from vidya gaems. Real-life high caliber bullets will tear through an entire fucking house and into the next one. I was asking my father about stopping power recently and shotgun calibers to see if bird shot would be enough for a home defense situation. And that's the weakest fucking shotgun load.
