I don't think I've ever seen hot cherries served on waffles here. Whipped cream is normal, though.

I once had bacon waffles and it was delicious. It was waffles cooked with bacon pieces inside. That restaurant closed years ago.

Absolutely worth a try, I tell you! Black cherries in syrup, heated in a pot, poured over the waffle plus some whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.

You can take or leave the ice cream or whipped cream. Just please don't use spray can whipped cream or even that Cool Whip stuff you have in the states.
Pre-whipped "cream" is one of the most disturbing burger food items I've ever heard of. That's almost dystopian and I don't even want to know the list of ingredients necessary to make such a thing possible.
