Oh help me God. CNN just compared the Kung Flu to fucking Jaws on why we must keep everything shut down.

Jaws led to unreasonable mass hysteria about sharks, which in turn led to massive harm of the shark population. It was an unfounded panic over something next to harmless which the vast majority of the population never was in any danger of in the first place.
I think that comparison rings true. But CNN can't see the irony in that, of course.
