Biden assembling commission to study Supreme Court ‘reform’
Inflate the SCOTUS to add more DNC judges. The Biden administration is assembling a bipartisan commission to consider expanding the US Supreme Court — an idea that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer this week called “the big one.”
...
Federal judges now receive lifetime appointments, but Biden campaign lawyer Bob Bauer — who’s slated to co-chair the commission and is helping select its members — is a proponent of limiting their terms, Politico said.

If he wasn't senile he would see this is a loser idea. The "conservative" court completely threw their weight behind the steal, but they aren't going to go easy if he tries to limit their power.

The catch is of course that the US Constitution specifically puts that power in the hands of Congress, so what exactly would the SCOTUS be able to do if Dems decide to stack it?

Re: Mush-Brain Mega-Thread (Biden and His Presidency)
It's a waste of time because the SC won't give up that power, but it's funny how all those things like "we're not gonna ban fracking" or "not gonna pack the courts" turned out to be a complete lie.

Re: Mush-Brain Mega-Thread (Biden and His Presidency)
Le Redditor is correct though. I don't believe the Supreme Court can do anything to stop Congress+the President from expanding it. Or altering the size of any other federal court.
The Supreme Court originally had 6 justices. The size was changed 7 times in the 1800s through legislation but it has stayed at 9 since 1869.
FDR wanted to "pack" the court in 1937 to 15 judges because the conservative majority on the court at the times was striking down some of his commie New Deal stuff, but the 1930s Dems thought it would be bad to commit such an obvious power grab over a government branch.

It would be a well-deserved slap in the face of those Republicans willing to compromise, thought.
Re: Mush-Brain Mega-Thread (Biden and His Presidency)
At this point I guess it doesn't really matter. Elections have no meaning anymore so who gives a fuck. Bring on the dystopian grave we're all heading into.

The only ones that ever get slapped is us civilians. They just try to impress each other by how hard they can fuck us.
