Them printing fake ballots is somehow an outrageous idea but they would totally print loads of IDs that are basically impossible for anyone to identify as fake.

It seems that you intentionally missed me pointing out that IDs are required absolutely everywhere in Europe.

Fake IDs are a total non-issue. Maybe make ID cards more elaborate than a Mickey Mouse Club Membership card and making a remotely passable fake for the payoff of one measly vote per is cost prohibitive and nearly impossible to conceal at volume.

It's just impossible to tell a real one from a fake one, you see. That's why cashiers have to undergo long and expensive training to verify the validity of bank notes and it's such a high qualification job.
