America was destined to start interfering around the world circa WW I. If it wasn't Wilson it would have been Teddy Roosevelt, although TR at least didn't have WW's ideas about "self determination" and would ha e probably gone for something more akin to the Congress of Vienna instead of Versailles.

You could argue that America's foreign interference in WW1 was an inevitable consequence of the changing global landscape and spiraling technology. Nobody really understood how bad shit would get when the entire world went to war. Then, after that, WW2 happened and the US debated long and hard about entering the war, even though it seemed to be for the best of causes. We sent a lot of different kinds of aid, but still balked at troops.

My point is that I don't really consider either WW1 or WW2 to be mistakes. Well, WW1 was a mistake, in that it was a mistake the entire world made together. The USA is no more responsible than anyone else involved in that mess. WW2 wasn't a mistake. Probably one of the few modern wars that wasn't.

All the wars since/including Vietnam have been horrible decisions imposed from above by warhawk shitheads who desire a world in flames. We should ship all these warhawk politician FUCKS to Afgoatistan and let them go shoot at ragheads in the dirt for a few months. See how they like it.

I can't remember the last president who served a full term without any involvement in war. I assume Jimmy Carter, like Poonoo said? It's unreal to think about how much war our nation has been a part of, and how little power the citizenry has to stop any of it. Not to mention the rampant censorship our government engages in to sanitize warfare.

Enjoy the endless wars, liberals. You really showed the world how much better Biden is. Trump's response to corona, if it was indeed his fault, only hurt the domestic population of the USA. More foreign wars hurt everyone.

With all this warmongering, you'd think they would figure out how to actually win a war.
Unless having to station their troops in foreign countries until the next Ice Age is part of their plan

Essentially yes. It allows the military to maintain bloated levels of funding and they can just whip out "MUH TERRORISM" whenever Lockheed-Scammer want some more gibs from our tax dollars.

Biden says "salute the Marines", repeating what he was told over earpiece.
How frustrating it must be to be the puppet master of him. His predecessors at least were mentally there enough to just do what they are told.

I hold no grudge towards Joe, no matter what he did. That person isn't around anymore. Now it's just an old dude that barely knows where he is on most days that should sit in his garden, maybe play with the dog and slip into dementia with dignity, watching re-runs of Matlock he doesn't remember seeing before.

Trump's personality deficit had a lot of international leaders treating us like retards - the first impression I get is that Biden is going to have us perceived like the same way we were perceived during W. (I.e. goofy dude does/says something stupid).

One of the most essential part of Eisenhower's tenure was how he controlled everyone's perception of him. He got us out of wars and presented himself in a way where he was actually respected.

What I get a kick out of is reading some people posting on my FB - and one that killed me was a guy saying that Defense was no longer headed by someone from Raytheon - and fucking Lloyd Austin is from Raytheon.
Dude's been confirmed already - went through quickly, its funny watching this double standard because Libs were bitching about Trump appointed a general - (I actually didn't think James Mattis was that bad...) - and most of the articles about this guy are "the first black sec def."

Its going to be four years of people doing shit similar to Trump and no one will bellyache.
I'll bet money we don't get a public option - its popular, despite his bitching, Obama could have gotten it done when he initally passed Obamacare and had a Senate majority over a fucking decade ago - Biden's not going to do it.
