There is real wokeshit and then there's just random-ass shit that somebody calls woke because they see a bitch in it. Even if every democratic policy is 1000% super woke, why not just own the label and campaign on making voters' lives better?

A lot of people voted for Trump not because they agree 100% with him on everything, but in spite of disagreeing with him about most things. Plenty of voters dislike Trump on a personal level but voted for him because of one particular policy.

I mean, it boils down to just people punishing incumbent politicians for their inability to pay their billth. Trump was in a position that played to his talents (being the insurgent). Inflation sucks, the job market sucks, the lockdowns *really* sucked. You go across the pond, and Bongland curbstomped the Tories arguably even more aggressively than Burgerland shitkicked the Dems.

Enforcing antitrust allows businesses to compete. The end goal of late stage capitalism is monopoly, which is an issue. Of course the balance between enterprise and regulation is a tough one, but the consequences of abandoning the task wholesale is every local shop on your street turns into a Subway or a Walmart. Even if its just lip service on trannies, the supreme court is about to kneecap that community regardless of what President Big Booty Latina does, politicians have to pay lip service sometimes. Trump's very clearly lying about being a Presbyterian, but he has to keep the Christfags in line.

There are popular issues the Dems can claim. Le based homicider proves that Universal Healthcare is one.

Republicans get absolutely assreamed on Universal Healthcare every time they come to the debate. Reminder that it's the Republican pundits even more than the Democrat pundits who were trying to demonize the Mamma Mia Murderer. A guy that most normal people... If they don't outright love and agree with him, they 100% completely understand why he chose the target he did.

Rich career politicians are completely out of fucking touch. AOC and Elizabeth Warren are closer to the average voter on that issue specifically. Democrats love losing though, so they don't tackle issues where they can win.
