I said it before. If Russia can't fuck Afghanistan no UN nation stands a chance.
It's one of those nations where only boots on ground and mass executions would work. Russia saw it was not worth the effort and UN nations would never do the dirty deeds necessary.

There's a reason they say Afghanistan is where Empires go to die. You say Russia and the UN aren't brutal enough. Well Alexander the Great certainly was and he couldn't conquer it. The Mongols certainly were and even they couldn't completely conquer it. The British couldn't conquer it. The Persians couldn't conquer it. The Sikhs couldn't conquer it. The only people who sort of successfully conquered Afghanistan were the Arabs and the only way they really conquered it was through the spread of Islam, not by taking physical territory.

If China want to have a go at humiliating themselves, then by all means. The Taliban will betray them at the first available opportunity and China can add itself to the list of Empires that have collapsed after trying to fuck with the Afghans
