My point is that Trumps track record of winning negotiations, despite his bluster, is kind of spotty.
A very weak point, you have to admit.
This isn't even a negotiation but rather a business deal. There's no shortage of failed business deals and ventures of Trump you could draw from instead.
So the five parties of Greenland voted against becoming an American territory but want to maintain some kind of relationship to move away from Denmark - so, they want their cake and to eat it too. They're definitely like the aboriginals of Canada, alright. If the 'Sates can get a base out there they would have the North West Passage fortified and along with Alaska they'd have a good fortification of the arctic that isn't Russian territory.

I’m not anti the Greenland idea. I don’t totally agree with prioritizing that over figuring out what to do with the District of Columbia, and the territories we already have. But if the cards fall in a way where this move is feasible and benefits the US, then sure.
