That TV special actually has a fairly progressive message (for its time) about non-conformity. I still find parts of it rather humorous. I rather liked the Rankin-Bass TV specials and how they had all their stuff animated in Japan.

He's not in blackface. He's a legit nigger. Santa has midget slaves so why wouldn't he have a nigger servant? Seems plausible. Threatening beatings to children is effective, threatening Santa will bring along a nigger is scary even to me.
