Rogue One is faggot shit. How this spawned a spin-off that barely anyone watched & people pretend to like still baffles me.

It's at least looked like it was grittier than the usual DisneyShit, and Andor was their most inoffensive streaming production.
It's not exactly good. Just the least bad.

Andor was made by an actual fucking writer. I didn't like Rogue One, though.
Moving back to American Graffiti, you can see where Lucas really succeeds. Definitely placed in the context of its time, using pop songs for their soundtrack; and the way Lucas wrote it, it must have felt like a movie no one had seen before.
George is the visionary, and then you need people with more talent as writers (Graffiti has three) and editors. Since its so dialogue driven, I guess George couldn't add terrible CGI to spite Marcia like he did with the OT.

"One minor digital effect has been added, at the request of director George Lucas, and can be found on the 1998 Collector's Edition DVD and VHS. In the original theatrical release, when the movie title credit appears on screen in front of Mel's Drive-In, all that is seen behind the diner are buildings and a cloudy/gray sky. On the Collector's Edition DVD and VHS, a sunset with clouds has been digitally added where the cloudy/gray sky originally was."CuckTurdginson wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 5:56 pmI guess George couldn't add terrible CGI to spite Marcia like he did with the OT.

I don't mind when there's legitimately a lot to talk about. You could easily make a video about The Shining much longer than the movie without any filler.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 7:41 pmWhy why why do people make videos this long? A movie review should never be longer than the damn movie itself!
But Rogue One? Here's my elaborate review: It's shit. Don't watch it. Watch Robocop again instead.

That doesn’t totally erase the feeling of the movie like in New Hope and ESPECIALLY Jedi. I finished the movie for the first time about an hour ago, and didn’t find that intro too intrusive. But point taken.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 7:43 pm"One minor digital effect has been added, at the request of director George Lucas, and can be found on the 1998 Collector's Edition DVD and VHS. Re: Star Whores: Diverse Agenda
I saw somebody on a stream say something about "just stick around until episode 6 of Andor. It gets GOOD!" And I'm assuming they mean season 2, episode 6.
Just no. I shouldn't have to do that. I gave the series a shot; I watched the first episode when it aired on TV. It was the most boring shit I've ever seen. The lamest characters I've ever seen. If I wanted to watch something boring, I'd watch something educational. Who the fuck asked for boring Star Wars?
"But it's so good, it's so good." No it isn't. Nobody gives two shits about Cassian Andor. Most people don't even remember him from Rogue One. And the show's ratings prove me right.

I hate this cope. Back in my day it was seen as more sensible to watch until the third episode or so if you're not impressed by the sereis, just so see if shit actually picks up in a reasonable amount of time.
But nowadays it's they keep telling you to effectively watch the entire season anyways, thanks to Current Year seasons being like 8 episodes or so.

Re: Star Whores: Diverse Agenda
What is Andor even about? The few clips I've seen make it look like a gritty political drama full of fart-sniffing monologues that just happens to also have Star Wars costumes and settings. It could be about medieval Spain for all the difference it makes.
I guess it is better written than the most recent Disney space Slop but I don't see what makes it a good SW property either.
