Re: Movie Thread
It's where Germany lists all movies, games etc. who are so eeeeevil that you're forbidden from advertizing or showing it in the open, which basically translates to you not getting it anywhere.
Though Kugel is overhyping things a little in that it is perfectly legal to own it. You can even sell it, provided you only sell it to adults who specifically ask for it. Since Steam and shit don't have special adult sections for stupid Germans, you don't find indexed games anywhere digitally unless you pirate that shit or find a foreign buddy to buy it for you.
In any case, the Index is pretty retarted since it usually takes 25 years for someone on that list to be taken off it, at which point most horror movies look tame compared to contemporary stuff you can already watch when you're 16.
A pretty stupid example of the Index at work is Hellsing: volume 4 is on the Index, while the rest is A-Ok. I think the re-release might not even have a German volume 4 at all.
(Hilariously enough, I got my volume 4 by finding it just sitting together with the others in a shop. Apparently some intern screwed up. I'm not complaining.)
Even more retarded is Mortal Kombat: MK9 is on the index, but MKX is fine. Did I mention that German censorship nazis are inconsistent as fuck?

Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Yeah I'm just joking. Something remains on the index indefinitely if it's not reevaluated, which it won't unless the copyright holder tells them to. Doom for example was taken off the index.
Then there's also stuff that's totally banned. Like the Condemned games for example.

Re: Movie Thread
Is the first Guardian of the Galaxy movie okay? I was thinking of maybe watching something i didn't see yet with my older brother this month.
Also they might be planning to bring back Samuel L. Jackson character as a Force Ghost (despite that making no sense although maybe it makes more sense than surviving).
Bringing did'nt surprise me, that was done in the old EU as i think Darth Maul was like Boba Fett: Two characters that were okay in their roles that got really popular.
ES>SW>RJ(i didn't like the Ewoks but i liked the rest)>RO=TFA>RS or PM>PM or RS>CW

Re: Movie Thread
Guardians is perfectly fine. Like all Marvel stuff it was overhyped with one dickhead calling it the Stat Wars of our generation but it was a good movie with a great soundtrack. The fact that it doesn't have a huge connection to the expanded universe and is more of a sci-fi movie rather than typical caoeshit helps it a bit, despite having a similar tone and writing to those movies.

Re: Movie Thread
Guardians is... Ok. It's right on that line where it's just Joss Whedon enough with the dialogue and references and OMG SO RETRO shit to piss me off, but the movie itself is a generic hero story that works well enough. It's SLIGHTLY better than Force Awakens and the comparison works really well, because Guardians does for The Avengers what TFA does for A New Hope. It's the same shit over again, except of course that Avengers was garbage and Guardians is less so.
Guardians was overhyped to fucking shit. It's a 6-7/10 movie on a good day. It's no Goodfellas, or even Iron Man 1/PiderMan 2/ Batman Begins, but it's serviceable. Winter Soldier is better.
But really, my view on Mahvul at this point is everything their studio touches gets tainted by all their shitty in-universe stuff. Just like capeshit comics.
It's definitely no fucking Fury Road.

Sam Jackson's probably coming back as a voice in one of those shitty Disney toons. Seriously doubt Windu ever gets near a movie again except as a reference, probably when passing his lightsaber to a teenage girl with noodle arms.

Soiling even something as awesome as a purple lightsaber with some cancer tier actress that would be too bad for a Burger King commercial. Yeah, I can see that happening.Night Moves wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2017 9:41 pmSam Jackson's probably coming back as a voice in one of those shitty Disney toons. Re: Movie Thread
First Guardians are fine, although not amazing as some of my friends tried to convince me. I had an impression that the movie is missing a soul, which isn't exactly a valid criticism, but I don't want to go into details - it just felt like a bunch of potentially interesting scenes without them properly being tied together through main characters, a decent B flick, but a missed opportunity to be something better. Still made a shitload of cash, so why try harder, right?
Fury Road on the other hand is pretty damn good - except for the opening, which is rather weird and I get that it's intentional, but it felt out of place and pointless - also the sped up chase scene, what the hell? And Tom Hardy has less charisma than Mel Gibson's left testicle.

Sounds like you're starting to get rid of your shit taste. The second law of spergodynamics states that pure sperg can neither be created nor destroyed. The sperg was in you the whole time - use it wisely.
