I like Dark Knight Rises because its so darn silly - but you can tell Nolan was strongarmed into making it, to be honest.

And LotR is an actual good trilogy - its The Hobbit that's padded as shit.

Fanboys hate Rises because it's the only decent movie in the trilogy after they spent so many years furiously fapping off to the Ledger movie because the media told them to. It's still pretty awful though. Nolan can't write for shit, can't shoot action, and directs everyone like they're coming down from a cough syrup high while also making them say ten sentences where one would do.

Hathaway's ass was perfect casting.
