Trailer and description for Captain America 4 is out.

"After meeting with newly elected President - Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" (now Harrison Ford) Ross - Sam Wilson now finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red."

The description - not to sound like Critical Drinker and nitpick a description just bc its Jizzney, but it does illustrate my problem with fucking Marvel movies. There's no way Harrison Ford is not at least a secondary villain - and if I'm watching like The Fugitive, just to throw a name out - there should be some intrigue as to the plot, and its not intriguing when you can get the identity of the villain right within three tries - Tim Blake Nelson from the 2008 Incredible Hulk is in this, too.

The first Captain America movie was pre-Joss Whedon, and somehow Marvel allowed Joe Johnston to actually make a movie. Johnston didn't institute any of the lineorama shit where they're trying to make you feel better for watching capeshit - the first Captain America is fairly sincere - and the closest an MCU movie has come to being iconic and really good, along with Guardians of the Galaxy 1 - which is one of the only other ones I've seen multiple times.

Winter Soldier went in a different enough direction - its not a genius plot, but there was enough to discover with how Hydra infiltrated Shield that the movie's entertaining. Civil War sucked and the nigger Cap miniseries was even worse than that - plus they're all "political thrillers" now. That's boring as fuck. I suppose with a solid two movies, and a polarizing but kind of bad third movie - that would make the Steve Rogers trilogy the OG Star Wars trilogy of capeshit.

Actor's good - I've liked Anthony Mackie in the non-Marvel shit I've seen him in - I kind of like the Twisted Metal show. But there's no foundation because Sam Wilson is lame as fuck.

Anyway, maybe if Ford shows some energy when he's inevitably revealed as a villain, that 10 minutes could be ok. I guess this tangent is moving into shitposting, because they'd never do this - but they should have went the Black Dynamite route with Nigger Cap movie 1. Have like Anthony Mackie being a pimp and dropkicking Nixon. Black Dynamite is so much more charismatic than anything the woketards could come up with.

Anyway, movie's probably going to be crap - but not as bad as Ant Man? Not that that's fucking saying much.

If it's any consolation, no iteration of Marvel's Civil War has ever been good. It was a dumb excuse for the good guys to fight each other, which got even worse when they decided that one side was on the right side of history.
Though I'm looking forward for them to adapt the sequel where Captain America turns fascist and Kamala Khan is too much of a fangirl to notice that she's hanging out with the baddies.

Anyway, movie's probably going to be crap - but not as bad as Ant Man? Not that that's fucking saying much.

It might actually be more cringe, depending on how much they focus on the new (and improved) Captain America being black.

One might also question why Namor was the bad guy in Black Panther 2: Wakanda Boogaloo.
These bloody movies always need to introduce at least one unrelated character, so you can tease a spinoff movie / Disney+ series.
