Yeah, I could actually see that. She likely wouldn't say "fucking" either but her being a hardass would work much better than some random person. Maybe that part was even written for her and Mulgrew said:

Re: Star Dreck
Ok, as everyone knows this series is shit. Don't bother. Episodes 2-5 are nothing but filler and could be omitted entirely. Pointless. As could Seven of Nine and the Borg cube, just another useless subplot that doesn't pay off in the end. I guess it was just an excuse to show a familiar thing into trailers.
Almost none of this felt like Star Trek, more like Firefly, which I have no doubt the faggots who wrote this shit are more familiar with. The Romulans are completely fucked. Suddenly they're all ritual-this and ritual-that. Where the fuck did that come from? Write some fucking science fiction for fuck sake. Researching and understanding the Prothean Beacon Admonition should have been something done by the Romulans' best scientists, not some goofy ancient fucking sisterhood who dress like druids.
The deus-ex machina with Picard at the end was laughable. Just let the character fucking die. Instead it's some ridiculous shit where they scanned his brain before death and transferred it to an exact copy of his body that they created. I don't know if anyone here ever saw the movie "Beerfest", but it reminded me of that movie. When one of the main characters died, his twin brother shows up at his funeral, decides to take his brother's place with the team, and acts exactly like him. It's done as a joke, yet the way it's done in Picard feels just the same.
The one part in this that I will admit I almost, sort-of liked was Riker. Jonathan Frakes was the only actor in this who made me feel like I was watching a Star Trek show and that he still remembered his character. Whatever the fuck Patrick Stewart was doing, he was not playing Jean-Luc Picard. I never got anything from that character in this series.

Re: Star Dreck
I thought Brent Spiner did alright too. His make-up was off, but I appreciated the Data scenes.
I'd say Seven had it the worst - on Voyager, her whole appeal(besides sex appeal) was to be another "discovering humanity" type, but here she's just some gung-ho chick with none of that endearing attitude.

Re: Star Dreck
I'd say the Borg Cube was just a red herring to give theoryfags something to speculate over.
This is NuTrek. If you aren't too old for action scenes like Picard is, you have to be an asshole with anger issues.

I don't think I'd ever be bored enough to watch these new Trek shows. Since they're all plagiarized anyway, why not just watch (or in the case of video games play) the things that they ripped off instead?

Re: Star Dreck
Patrick Stewart making his own TV series as an excuse to see naked women would have been much, much better than the Patrick Stewart making his own TV series as an excuse to whine about Brexit and Trump that we got instead.

There's so much ripping off going on that probably even the rip-offer don't know from what they're actually ripping off.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 1:17 pmAh, so that implies they also ripped off Outlaw Star, yes?
