Yes, the old whore is autotuned to hell. But she wouldn't have lasted as long if she didn't know a few tricks.
A catchy rhythm and sporadic use of vocals beats out long meandering torch singing.
It does in fact fit the credits and the theme of that point in the movie.

I'm with you on "All Time High" (Octopussy). For Your Eyes Only ends up somewhere in the middle--it has the annoying piano clanging but balances it with the cool synth bookends.

You Only Live Twice to me is more funny than good. The electronic sitar-guitar and other instruments imitating Asian notes is ridiculous and takes away from the violin and string work. There's a beautiful song in there but it's lost in some overproduction.

If I had to really choose a favorite among all of Bassey's excellence, I'd go with "Diamonds are Forever." Everything just works right with that one.

This is gonna be a really unpopular opinion, but Diamonds Are Forever > Goldfinger. All of it.
Last time, I was bored out of my mind watching Goldfinger. The film has a bunch of characters who might be interesting in other movies, but don't work with each other at all. Goldfinger himself is just a generic evil businessman, and Bond doesn't really give a shit about him. Oddjob is a lamer Jaws and serves him because servant. Pussy Galore is one of the least attractive Bond girls and works with Goldfinger because money, I guess?

Cut to Diamonds Are Forever, where Blofeld has already been built up by several films, there's a pair of gay killers making oneliners, a schoolteacher hiding jewels in a Bible and Jill St John as a sexy diamond smuggler, whose shift of allegiance to Bond makes perfect sense. Everybody bounces beautifully off of one another, the pace is pitch perfect and Connery wears a knowing "y'all paid me millions for this bullshit" smirk throughout the entire film.
