Obama, after Bush, surely didn't need any racial points to win the election. He won purely based on his wisdom and talents, regardless of his race.

Josh Brolin did a great job in the role of Bush Jr. and this was watchable for his performance alone. However, it's been said that Oliver Stone portrayed Bush here as sympathetic guy, people who think that way must really hate Bush! :D This movie focuses almost entirely on negativity. The movie makes Bush look like this forever-failure, extreme religious, warmongering Texan hick who was always completely over his head and got success only because of his wealthy and powerful family. There are no scenes of his 2001 or 2004 election wins, but there is this scene of Bush Senior losing the 1993 elections, the whole Bush family watching the winning of Clinton from tv while Bush Senior crying: "I.. I thought the (Gulf) war would have carried us."

So, how did this complete moron, as the movie makes him out to be, graduated from Harvard, did prosper as a businessman and got elected both as a governor and as a president twice?

I think the official President IQ's list Bush Jr.'s IQ as 125 - so dumb President (over 80% are in MENSA) - but smart normie.

Oliver Stone's overrated anyway - JFK is one of the most overrated movies I've ever seen.

DHI is proof you can be both a massive homosexual and a virgin. They're not exclusive. If you display both in large enough quantities you can qualify for mod status.

At least the movie inspired a line in this song:

(Starts at around 2:50 if you're impatient.)

EDIT: Also fuck that movie. I swear whenever I have to listen to someone telling his 2 cents about who ACTUAL LEE killed JFK, they treat that movie like a reliable documentary.

I wouldn't say "Another Way to Die" is the worst Bond theme.
Not when we have
this LSD abortion
to kick around.

Definitely in the bottom five though.

The other song might have been alright, but it needed one of those deeper and stronger lounge singer voices. (Like this.)
Not ASMR Avril Lavigne.

Can't Bond find some Euro act to do their theme?
Those have had better hit/miss ratio. And besides.

The movie WAS kinda sympathetic. In the sensethat it pissed everyone off.

All the incidents that were skewered on late night were inverted for the movie. The choking in a pretzel was played as a serious, scary accident. He's actually shown to know Spanish phrases (and why), and later tells Rove "he's the decider" without a trace of irony.
Colin Powell comes off a stooge and all the Democrats are caught clapping for Iraq.
Senior comes off as a guy unfairly denied by the public for doing the right thing and not pushing harder with war.

Dubya comes off as a regular guy who can't please his parents and just wants to play baseball. Hes the most normal guy in the movie. That pissed off the left FAR more than the right.
...and still: Spoony did nothing.

We need a Jeb Bush movie: El Hombre de las Tortugas. The sad story of a low-energy autist that has to run for the presidency to please his family, when all he wants to do is sell guac bowls on the internet. The credits will ask the audience to please clap.

Seriously, check that channel out. He's been doing these every other day for 11 years.

Yeah, I can see that and I wouldn't consider this as any kind of pro-Democrat movie, just very anti-Bush administration one. It doesn't surprise me that the left got more pissed off than the right, getting pissed off over trivial matters is their speciality anyway. 8-)

But still I wouldn't call this film objective in any way. In almost every scene Bush was portrayed as this weak, incompetent fool who constantly failed at everything, got squashed in an election debate, freezed up in a press conference etc. It's a shame Stone choose to go this way, it could have been possible to make a really good biography of his life before and during his presidential administration by staying objetive, taking several perspectives into account and not caring about the common opinion of GB.
