I miss the days when capeshit movies weren't 80% origin story for the first movie and 80% crossover world-building for the following ones.

I think he basically turned everything he touched into some fuckhuge epic because that's what normie audiences associated him with thanks to LotR.

Re: Movie Thread
Modern capeshit movies are fairly representative of the comics. Those aren't any good either.
Everyone does.Rushy wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 12:04 pmah, shit, you're right. I keep forgetting that one exists.CuckTurdginson wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 11:50 amKing Kong remake is bloated as fuck and that was 120% his fault.

Modern capeshit comics are mostly about diversity capeshitters with appropriated capeshit identities having lolrandom meme discusions with their hipster groupies.

Battle of the Five Armies is amazing. It's just three hours of fighting.
King Kong 05 had prime Naomi Watts, making it even more obvious that the movie was code for interracial sex.

Quantum of Solace is hella underrated but this is unforgivable. Twelve years later it's finally no longer the worst movie theme ever but only because of this travesty:

I've never really understood the hate for Another Way To Die. I don't consider it a classic Bond theme, but I'll take something bouncy and with a good beat over the boring melodramatic ballads any day.

W. (2008)
Josh Brolin did a great job in the role of Bush Jr. and this was watchable for his performance alone. However, it's been said that Oliver Stone portrayed Bush here as sympathetic guy, people who think that way must really hate Bush!
This movie focuses almost entirely on negativity. The movie makes Bush look like this forever-failure, extreme religious, warmongering Texan hick who was always completely over his head and got success only because of his wealthy and powerful family. There are no scenes of his 2001 or 2004 election wins, but there is this scene of Bush Senior losing the 1993 elections, the whole Bush family watching the winning of Clinton from tv while Bush Senior crying: "I.. I thought the (Gulf) war would have carried us."
So, how did this complete moron, as the movie makes him out to be, graduated from Harvard, did prosper as a businessman and got elected both as a governor and as a president twice?
