DHI is proof you can be both a massive homosexual and a virgin. They're not exclusive. If you display both in large enough quantities you can qualify for mod status.
Are there any horror movies that are basically Jaws with hippos? I feel that would be a missed opportunity.
Hippos kill people but usually not in the water. Most get ran over. Hippos run at a cool 30km/h and they can do so through heavy brush. It's like a mini bus hitting you.

Oh, I was aware of that. Hippo could be the land-based counterpart to Jaws. With hippos, the only safe place is up in the sky.

It's about time for me to watch Scanners again. Say what you will, but I still think it's Cronenberg's best.
I share your belief that the MC was bad on purpose because he had brain problems. Well, he probably just sucked at acting but it fit.
I liked when Number 6 yelled at the woman. >Movie and TV icon Patrick McGoohan had his Scanners co-star Jennifer O'Neill in tears on the set of the cult 1981 film
by ripping into her for marrying three times.
A fervent Catholic, The Prisoner star took exception to O'Neill's personal life and didn't hold back in letting her know.
Director David Cronenberg recalls, "He had extreme Catholic views about sexuality, which came onto the set.
"My leading lady... came to me incredibly distraught and said, 'Patrick said, 'Are you a whore? Are you a slut?' And he started to lay into her because she'd had, like, five husbands.
"That was Patrick, and those were the things I had to deal with as a relatively young director. He was probably the most difficult actor I ever worked with, though he gave a fantastic performance."
At the time, O'Neill had wed three times. She went on to marry another two men and has been wed to Mervin Louque since 1997.

Far from it. For the Cronenberg movies that come to mind now, at least The Fly, Dead Ringers, Videodrome, A History of Violence and Eastern Promises are all much better and at the very least they had a competent lead actor. Scanners is still good though, funny how the only guns used in the movie were shotguns (budget reasons or what?), Iroside is the shit, as always, and that final face-twisting contest is legendary.

Those weren't extreme views, they were the average man's views at the time.
