I agree. It's especially noticeable when you look at TNG, where Picard always yells British insults like "what the devil" as opposed to "what the hell". The whole point of Trek is that humanity has become more civilised. Not to mention, it adds an extra layer of immaturity to this version of Star Trek. If it was Discovery, I wouldn't care, but it's weird in a show about Picard.
Also, the Borg were completely pointless. The cube crashes onto the planet and they add jack shit to the finale aside from Seven of Nine killing off the tertiary villain who was wandering around in it. They have nothing to do with the android-Romulan prophecy.
