It's that PG-13 rating. Just look at Die Hard 4. If they can't show a lot of blood and killing, the action turns into just a lot of cg shit and characters getting tossed around. The Genysis bus scene comes to mind.

Sarah Connor Chronicles was pretty good. It has an awesome scene with SWAT getting taken down, set to Johnny Cash's "When the Man Comes Around." One of the best scenes in TV actually.

I remember the uproar when that came out. How dare they show Hitler as anything but pure evil that sprang up from hell fully formed! Bad people were never young!

These whole "Is it okay to portray Hitler as a human being?" discussions are probably just journos being journos, or some cheap marketing gimmick. It's just dumb.
I mainly remember this Cucknadian series because "Rise of Evil" is corny as shit. That title would've been tacky even for a LotR prequel about Sauron.

The commune idiots actually sing Kumbaya and melt their guns into peace symbols. When Woody Harrelson asks a hipster if he’s ready to fight, a pajama boy responds with “Yes! Against sexism, poverty, and social injustice!”
