Re: Movie Thread
You see, they probably want to make the bride the main character, not her problematic male husbando.

To the people in the past, it probably doesn't matter if the killbot that's after them was send by some AI they never see, or some fat asshole they also never see.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

The audience probably only cares about the killbot, unless you're some nerdy terminatorfag who is barely better than a weeb.

Can I be one whilst also thinking everything except the first movie sucked?VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 5:26 pmThe audience probably only cares about the killbot, unless you're some nerdy terminatorfag who is barely better than a weeb.
Anyways, you just made my point for me. The audience cares about the killbot. Is it really the same unstoppable shit-your-pants scary killbot if it's being run by some dude in a chair instead of an enigmatic future computer gone wrong?

I'd ask why you'd send somebody back to save the mother of the leader of the resistance instead of killing the mother of the dude in the future that's the problem.

Remember when The Rock was going to play a Terminator sent back to 50s to kill Sarah's grandma or some shit? I wish that had happened.

Well, SkyNet technically has "parents", as well, so this is not exactly a new problem.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:39 pmI'd ask why you'd send somebody back to save the mother of the leader of the resistance instead of killing the mother of the dude in the future that's the problem.

Re: Movie Thread
But no single person makes an AI as important as one handling the national defence system. Preventing one or two engineers being born won't do shit and the idea of making one isn't going to get wiped out forever doing so either. It's more plausible to be impossible to prevent. Plus some AI that can be on thousands of servers and is thus pretty much unkillable is scarier than some nigger pushing buttons.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:08 pmWell, SkyNet technically has "parents", as well, so this is not exactly a new problem.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:39 pmI'd ask why you'd send somebody back to save the mother of the leader of the resistance instead of killing the mother of the dude in the future that's the problem.
