Eh. Just plain "eh". If you haven't seen it yet, don't bother, I guess? It's so short that you may as well watch it if you're really interested. But it's really a nothing experience. It's not bad, it's not boring but it's not exciting or clever or particularly interesting either. Don't believe the hype.

The lead actress is cute. The monster being a woke allegory for VD renders the whole thing retarded.

Crawl is a big budget foot fetish movie set during a hurricane. Directors must love Kaya Scodelario's feet because this is the second movie I've seen that was made just to showcase them. (She got leaked recently, BTW, in case you wanted to see her brown eye.)

What renders the monster retarded is that the rules are very unclear and it's inconsistent. It can't open doors and only once seems to be able to smash a hole in one. Just lock yourself up somewhere with a decent door and you're fine. Plus shooting it in the head seems to work sometimes but not other times for some reason.

These people can't top Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall's acting I'm sorry.

They don't want to top them. In fact they don't have to. It's a sequel to The Shining. Enough people will see it either way.
