What are you talking about? He's mentioned multiple times that the manga only has a few more years to go. There's probably only gonna be one more major story arc or so.
Makes sense, really. With this Glorious Not-Nippon Arc the protagonists have pretty much met/fought all major players in the setting. All that's really left after this would be whatever the fuck Blackbeard has been doing all these years.

And don't compare this to Bleach. That shit was way, way worse. If Bleach hadn't been cancelled we'd still have half of the cast fighting that stupid giant that can't be killed.
Plus at least Oda can actually foreshadow bad guys. Kubo just pulls an entire army of bad guys straight out of his ass, in a story arc that takes up over 1/3 of the entire manga and would've likely run a lot longer if they didn't cancel this shit.

I'm just surprised that it's still going on when the animu started airing while i was still in high school, and its major contenders ended years ago.

I feel like shounen is an era that's dying. Most of the shit people remember is super fucking old. The only new shounenshit anyone knows about is that Boku No Pico Academia garbage. Which is japanized capeshit. Name me another shounen people know or care about that's recent. What, fucking Fire Force or some shit??? Get that shit outta here.

Voice needs to get off Oda's dick though. Wan Piss definitely went downhill after the gay Nippon arc started. What is it with japs that they can't stay outta the sengoku era? Nigga, you aren't making the next Seven Samurai. I was already feeling like the series had nowhere to go around the time of the big jailbreak. They could have wrapped up the series right there if they'd changed a few things about the final confrontation.

Actually, it's more like the Meiji era since this Not-Nippon suffers heavily from filthy gaijin and the even filthier industrial complexes that they've brought.

And I don't think anyone is currently trying to make the next DBZ. The likes of Wann Piss, Beach and Narewtoo were only conceived because the isekai genre was pure and innocent back then, untarnished by the cancer that was MMORPG isekai haremshit.
I mean, why care about world-building if can just set your haremshit in Not-Dragon-Quest and call it a day?
