The girl's testimony
Palanski was a major creep. This is the girl that got him all hot and bothered, BTW:

He sodomized her, too. Because that's something 13-year old girls enjoy, right Roman?
But guise, he THOUGHT she was legal age so it's okay that he drugged and raped her. - All of Hollywood

He knew she was only 13, though. His only defense was, "She liked it."

There's really no excuse for what he did.

TL;DR: He knew she was 13, got her drunk, drugged her with quaaludes, took nude photos of her (for "art!"), ignored her pleas to stop when he raped her, sodomized her and came in her ass, ignored her pleas to take her home, and raped her again.

The US has tried to get this guy. But France and Switzerland have decided that they're A-OK with what he did and they harbor him.

At least his career is handicapped now that he's unable to work in the US anymore, which really pisses him off. The Hollywood swine keep working with him, though.

In a just world any actor who works with him would be in prison for aiding and abetting a fugitive. It would include some actors I like, but I would be willing to see them go to jail to see justice done.

Dat fucking poster. And guess what it? It received six academy award nominations and ended up winning three. Also, Polanski was found guilty of rape in 1977, fled America in 1978, and this film came out in America in 1980. Up until #meagain started, Hollywood very blatantly didn't care that Polanski raped a 13 year old.

Why would they? That kind of thing is commonplace in Hollywood. Polanski's problem, in their eyes, is that he got caught.

The French government are ok with what he did. The French people were polled around the time he was arrested and most of them think he should be extradited. Mitterand even got into some shit for defending Polanski because he makes great art.

True, but I can't think of a bigger instance of Hollywood being this openly repulsive.

The sad thing is his career was barely handicapped by the rape. He never had a problem securing enough money to make his films, and his films continued to receive lots of awards. Also, massive Hollywood actors continued to work with him. It's as if nothing had happened.
