Cowboy Bebop may have good dub but I'd still say say sub is still superior in everyway despite what the creator, composer (and the illiterate) would try to have you believe!

I can't speak for Yoko Kanno but Shinichiro Watanabe never once said the English voices were better than the original Japanese ones.

This kind of thing usually comes up when English speaking fans are trying to justify their preference for the dub over the original Japanese. For example, they said that Hideo Kojima actually preferred the English cast over the Japanese cast. The only thing he actually said about the English voice acting was that he was disappointed with the voice acting for MGS2.

Rangerfags pull a similar cope when they claim that a Japanese dub of a Power Rangers season was "more popular" than the sentai original (which is bullshit; there's no way these get any decent time slots).
The most popular target of this seems to be Dekaranger. I guess they will never get over Power Rangers S.P.D. not having the budget to give their 6th Ranger an actual on-screen actor.
