Funny thing is, at least for what i've seen, if Eli BrainRoth hired age-appropriate actresses, his movie would've been just Borderlands without the gameplay.

The movie itself is mostly incoherent. There's a ton of moments where it genuinely feels like the actors aren't being filmed at the same time, which is perverse given how much money Eli was given.

Hard no. The whole licence is a retroactively cobbled-together Frankenstein, just existing because some fags at Dark Horse comics bought the two franchises seperately in 1989 for a comic book publication, and made a "What if"-jerk-off-series from it.

Marvel Comics did it first circa 1986.
There were like three references in the G1 cartoon, with the Cobra Commander appearance being the most notable.

They can be blamed for the attempt. Borderlands is famous for a series where one must skip and mute all story wherever possible.

You’d need to go full Sonic and rewrite the story substantially, and then approach any lore drops with caution.

You also need to make a functional, watchable movie.

How would you do that with Borderlands? The story is retarded garbage written by Anthony Burch.
Just don't bother with the IP and write your own stuff. There's nothing usable there. Evidently, not even the name managed to draw people.

That's exactly what I mean. Absolutely nobody ever liked the story of Borderlands and even actively hated it from at the very least the 3rd one.

I've known many that absolutely loved the games. I've played 1 and 2 a hole lot with several people. The story was passable in the 1st one. Beyond that, it's a detriment. Mute and skip!
